A Working Man — When a Quiet Life Turns into a Bloody Rescue Mission

If there’s one thing Jason Statham knows how to do, it’s beat people up and make it look stylish. In A Working Man, he plays Levon Cade, a man who just wants peace but peace clearly doesn’t want him.
Levon is a former Marine turned construction worker, trying to live a normal life and care for his daughter. But when the daughter of his boss goes missing, everything changes. He taps into his old skills, digging through a dirty underworld of human traffickers, corruption, and cover-ups.
The action is sharp and satisfying. Every punch feels earned, and every gunshot lands with weight. But what gives this movie heart is Levon himself. He's not just a fighter, he’s a father trying to live right, until evil comes knocking.

Character Analysis
Levon Cade (Jason Statham):
Calm, calculated, and deadly. A man with demons, but a strong moral compass. His loyalty to family and justice makes him more than just another action hero.

Gunnar (David Harbour):
The dependable war buddy with hidden depth. He’s warm, solid, and shows what real friendship looks like.

Frankie (Michael Peña):
The emotional trigger of the story. His pain fuels Levon’s rage even though Frankie stays in the background, his presence matters.

The Villains:
Typical, suit-wearing bad guys. Functional but forgettable. They serve the plot but don’t steal the show.

The Good
Jason Statham’s performance is top-tier.
The action is well-paced and intense.
Strong emotional undercurrent with father-daughter themes.

The Not-So-Great
The dialogue could have used more spice.
Villains were generic.
The first 20 minutes drag a bit.
